Does Wilson School District have a dress code?

In order to decrease problems and help our students be more successful, Wilson School District adopted a uniform dress code policy in 1998. Students must follow the dress code every day. The following is a summary of clothing that meets our uniform dress code policy. Students may wear:

  • Plain white polo shirts or dress shirts with a plain white collar; burgundy and gray collared shirt with the Wilson logo available for purchase only through PTO. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
  • Plain navy blue pants, shorts, skirts, or jumpers that are made of cotton or a cotton/polyester blend.
  • Jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts that are plain navy blue, white, or gray.
  • Socks, tights, or hose that are plain blue, black, white, gray, or tan.
  • Covered shoes with white or black shoelaces that are 1/4 inch wide; students may not wear heels that are more than one inch high.
  • Belts must be black or brown and may not be more than one size larger than the waist.

The following stores carry traditional style uniform clothing that fits our dress code: Factory 2U, Family Bargain Center, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Sears, J.C. Penney’s, and Back-to-School. If you have any questions about the dress code policy, please contact your child’s school. Thank you for helping make our campus a safer place for learning for all of our students.
