Wilson Preschool is open to students who are 4 years-old before September 1st of the current school year. Preschool students will develop new skills and make new friends while getting a "head start" on their educational journey. Wilson Preschool utilizes the Creative Curriculum, which is driven by students interests and developmental skills. The program inspires enthusiasm for learning and helps students learn problem-solving skills they will carry into their elementary years and beyond.
We have a Developmental Preschool class for special education children and typical peers 4 days/week, 8-11am. We also offer a 4 year old class 5 days/week, 12-3pm. Our classes are taught be a certified teacher.
We encourage parents to help in the classroom. Please contact your child's teacher to learn about opportunities. State law requires that parents check in and out at the main office, and we ask that you wear a visitor badge. We do not allow children from other schools to visit during school hours.
Dressing for Preschool
Parents or guardians should dress their children in comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Learning can be messy work! We require an extra set of clothing to keep in your child's cubby for any unforseen accidents.
We serve nutritious breakfast or lunch at no charge to our preschool students. We are not permitted to distribute food prepared outside of school. We ask that you do not send food with your child for any reason, including birthdays and other special ocassions.
