Ms. Cecilia Chevalier
I am Cecilia Chevalier, the STEM teacher here at Wilson Primary. I have enjoyed my role in this position. I come to Wilson with 15 years teaching experience. The majority of my experience has been in Math and Science. I have not always been a teacher. I have had many jobs. I was an Electrical Engineer, salesperson and even a Taekwondo instructor. Over the years, I have picked up many skills, including driving a forklift.
I have always had a passion to learn. As a child, I would look up to Leonardo DaVinci and Michael Angelo. I grew up thinking I had to know about all subjects. I try and bring in that same desire for learning into my classroom.
I started my learning path south of the valley in Casa Grande, Arizona. My extended family still resides there. I moved to the valley just before my college graduation when I went to work for IBM. I have since raised five children, Ira, 29, Alejandro, 27, Gabriella, 25, Jacob and Elijah are 22.
Two of my children live in Chicago, Illinois which allows me to indulge in one of my favorite things to do. TRAVEL! I enjoy exploring our state as well as other states. One of my goals is to visit Europe and South America, Greece and Machu Pichu specifically. Traveling is not my only hobby. I have collected comics since I was a child. If you ask your student they will probably tell you my favorite Superhero.
